Slow Cooker Stylin': A display of some distinctive slow cooker detailings
66Its in the Details...
I have only recently been exposed to the world of hubs and the various busy and active 'hubbers' out there, and I think that this exposure is beginning to take its toll. One hubber out there (going by the handle of Kitchen Caveman) has done some hubs about kitchen slow cookers and things like Rival crock pot replacement parts that have made me look at crock pots in an outside of the box kind of way. Something that i have not seen covered yet is a look at some of the more eye-grabbing exterior detailings that have graced more than one slow cooker. Without further ado I would like to present this display of some of the more unique crock pot exterior detailings out there.
This first Rival crock pot gives one a real feeling of Fall, eh? I don't recall ever seeing such an all encompassing detailing of a slow cooker before seeing this. Of course this was before I saw a few of the following slow cookers/crock pots that follow below. Still, this is definitely in stark contrast to the detailing found on most crock pots/slow cookers available on the market today...
This is a pleasant and simple detailing that screams 'vegetables'. I believe that i have seen this detailing on a crock pot slow cooker that was marketed as a slow cooker primarily for use with vegetables - this seems somewhat ironic to me considering the history of the crock pot, that it 's design came about as a domestically marketed offshoot of the 1970's beanery bean cooker. The crock pot comes full circle, I guess.
Hello ... Kitty? If it was a technical mistake for me to include this with the others than i apologize; This item is indeed an official piece of Hello Kitty merchandise, however it is abit ambiguous in its appearance. The appliance is listed online as being a slow cooker, however when you look at it it really looks more like a rice cooker, doesn't it? But whatever, if they list it as a slow cooker then it certainly qualifies for this hub...
Now this is something; I realize that in the last 5 years or so there has been a real growth in the amount of merchandise available that is tied into the whole NASCAR scene, I just didn't realize how far the merchandising of the motorsport had penetrated. above you can see that at least three NASCAR drivers,(in order of appearance above) Rusty Wallace, Richard Petty, and Ryan Newman, have already seen their likenesses adorn the exterior of Rival Crock Pot brand slow cookers. Wow, how long before the NBA or NFL have their stars smiling faces staring back at you from your kitchen's crock pot slow cooker?
Well, I hope that you found this display of artistically decorated crocks to be an interesting diversion during your time spent on the web. Now get cooking!
